Hardcore Happiness

Hardcore Happiness is a multidisciplinary exploration of what it means to live a meaningful life in a complex, uncertain world. Grounded in psychology, neuroscience, and existential thought, the project reframes happiness as a byproduct of intentional action, responsibility, and purpose. The Hardcore Happiness project explores happiness not as a fleeting emotional state, but as a durable orientation toward life—one that emerges when individuals align their values and actions with what genuinely matters to them.

The book, the ongoing blog, and the Hardcore Happiness podcast invite readers and listeners to reclaim authorship of their lives by cultivating practices that support purpose, resilience, creativity, and service. This is a particularly critical mindset during life transitions, when old roles dissolve and deeper questions surface.

The Hardcore Happiness community extends this work into lived experience. It is designed as a space for reflection, dialogue, and practical application, where individuals engage as participants in an ongoing process of authentic living. We translate psychological insight into daily practice, and support personal transformation through shared inquiry and dialogue. Live events, group seminars and in-person retreats are designed to foster authentic connection.

Existential Excavations is a foundational but distinct part of the project, where we do a deep-dive into the “big” questions of what it means to exist: life and death, freedom and responsibility, choice and purpose. In this sense, Existential Explorations functions much like shadow work: what is excavated is not meant to remain in the dark, but to be brought into conscious relationship with the rest of the self.
