Ninth Choir

Ninth Choir is known for cinematic rock soundscapes in the manner of progressive rock and progressive metal.

The Ninth Choir project was created by Jeff Welsh as a creative chronicle of the magick of everyday life, from miraculous to mundane, with the lofty goal of serving as part of the soundtrack of someone's life, somewhere.

Welsh writes the music and lyrics, plays guitar, bass, keys and handles vocals and programming for the project. Contributing musicians include David Cheshire (drums, percussion, vocals), Tim Cart (guitar, vocals), Zander Cart (bass), and Meytal Cohen (drums). Tony Garrett (bass) and Ray Daniels (drums) contributed to the first album.

The first Ninth Choir album - IX - broke into the top 3 albums on the Reverbnation charts upon its release. Get it here on Amazon.

- Patch.com

Progressive rock/metal new heavy Prog rock project (Ninth Choir) by Welsh. Exciting cinematic soundscapes that is a lot like a great mid-70s Prog rock album but with a lot of modern heaviness added to it. Welsh is a great and passionate musician and we’re glad he’s come back to the music…
